Less than a year ago, Dispatch sold out Madison Square Garden. Monday night (June 27), they’ll be playing an Allston club that’s the size of one of that arena’s sections, Brighton Music Hall.
The Boston/Vermont roots band are calling it an “open practice session”, and it’ll be first come, first serve at the 7 p.m. doors. There’s no cover, and it’s all ages.
Posting online earlier today, Dispatch say the gig will be a live rehearsal of their European tour set. They write:
“Boston, what are you doing tomorrow night!? We’d like to invite you to a little pre-tour open practice session at Brighton Music Hall. We’ll be running through the Europe set and would love to try out some new songs on some Boston ears. It’s free, all ages, doors open at 7 and we’ll play from about 8 to 9:30 p.m. Capacity is limited so get there early. See you tomorrow!”
Brighton holds about 400 people, so it’s probably a good idea to get there early.
And also, we cannot confirm this at the moment, but we’re hearing rumors of other possible upcoming Dispatch clubs shows in the Boston and Cambridge area, which could go down in the next week and could be announced at any moment. The band’s European tour kicks off July 1 in Switzerland; full dates are here.
