Over the course of his illustrious career, Nate Bargatze has made a habit of bringing his best to Massachusetts. To this day, or at the very least this weekend, he’s back again with his Big Dumb Eyes set on one of the larger stages in the commonwealth.
Continuing his globetrot of dominance as one of the busiest comedians in the world today, Bargatze makes his way to Worcester for one night at DCU Center on Saturday (April 4) as part of his wildly successful Big Dumb Eyes world tour. The former Boston Comedy Festival champion’s return to the northeast comes at a time where the years of work in clubs, theaters, and arenas are translating to bigger opportunities in TV and film, with his first major leading role coming by way of The Breadwinner, which is slated to hit theaters in May.
It’s almost corny to get sappy about the trajectory of an artist’s career, but as the industry’s leading genuine nice guy who just wants to make a lot of people laugh all at once, Bargatze is getting his flowers in ways that you wouldn’t necessarily expect, but they’re fully deserved. The fact that he can only get bigger from this point is insane to think about, but here we are – and Worcester is where you should be this weekend.
