The creative genius of “Weird Al” Yankovic has never been one stifled by limitations, but as he sets out to return to the stage in the coming year, the California native is bringing things back bigger — and weirder — than ever before.
Per an announcement to kick off the work week, Yankovic has set the coordinates for his return to the live stage in 2025 with the Bigger & Weirder Tour, which welcomes back all of the multimedia offerings, costume changes, and other shenanigans that have captivated sold out crowds all over the world over the course of Yankovic’s extensive performing career. The massive 65-city trek will travel all over the United States and Canada, including dates at venues like Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks in Colorado, and a night at Boston’s Wang Theatre on July 15.
Additionally, Yankovic’s also announced that, in the spirit of making things “bigger and weirder” for these shows, that he’s added a number of additional musicians to accompany his long-standing bandmates, who have toured with him throughout his time on the road over the course of the past four decades.
The news of the tour comes only a few short weeks after the release of Yankovic’s latest polka medley, Polkamania!, and after quite a bit of non-musical success for Yankovic following the premiere of his parody biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story in 2022.
Tickets for the tour can be accessed via pre-sale now after registering for a code on Yankovic’s website before they go on sale to the general public on Friday (September 27) at 10 a.m. ET.
