We won’t mince words here: Humbeats is the producer who fuels the rhythm of Boston.
One moment, he’s helping to provide the heat on tracks with Dutch ReBelle, Millyz, Austin Fair, and Notebook P; the next, he’s in Harvard Square, bumping his new project Lineup/ Mani-Pedi at Newbury Comics before it drops in the coming weeks. And today (September 30), he’s sharing the first single from his forthcoming album, a radio-ready single called “Nonstop” featuring fellow Boston creatives Rosewood Bape and Gio Dee. Short, sweet, and effortlessly slick, the new track sets the tone for Lineup/ Mani-Pedi ahead of the tape’s October release.
“Working on this album, I wanted to touch as many lanes sonically that I could,” Humbeats tells Vanyaland of Lineup/ Mani-Pedi. “Most of my placements are sample based, live instrumentation, etc, so I’m very happy with this track for how commercial it sounds. [I] definitely wanted to tap into that radio sound and I think this song hits it head on.”
