This one may be a stretch, but Jim Jefferies and Jesus Christ have more in common than you think. Their names begin with “J,” they both have devout followings and go around to groups of people to spread the good word, and Jesus had to have said the “C word” at least once, right? What’s even more mind-blowing is that both of their fathers were carpenters. So naturally, Jefferies has it in him to build something out that — so he did.
Setting up shop at Wang Theatre on Saturday (March 14) with an all-new hour, Jefferies returns to the city as part of his ongoing Son of a Carprenter tour. Wielding his all-too-familiar brand of brash storytelling, the Australian-born comedy superstar has remained on the grind both on and off the stage, as his numerous global tour reach, most recently yielding his 2025 Netflix special Two Limb Policy, has been accented by a pair of game show hosting gigs with The 1% Club and The Snake, as well as a supporting role in the 2025 Marlon Wayans-led film Him.
Let’s be real, we’ve never seen Jefferies and Jesus in the same room. That’s not to say we think a certain way about that fact, but why chance passing up the opportunity to see someone who has entirely too many undeniable similarities to the king of kings to not at least to be in the conversation of “modern-day savior?”
