School may be just getting back in session by the time Jimmy Cash comes back to town for one of the biggest shows of his career, but true to the Janitor’s oath, the Worcester native never stops working, even after that school bell rings.
As announced earlier this week, Cash will be returning to the legendary stage of The Wilbur on August 29, marking his second go-around at the famed venue in the last year for the homegrown comedy superstar in the making. While he has continued to keep the halls clean by day, and rub elbows with Bruins star Hampus Lindholm on those cheeky commercials, Cash has only grown his place in New England folklore as a bonafide hometown hero as he consistently grows his fan base with sold out shows all over New England, and a few different spots around the country fueled by his signature mix of northeast-forged storytelling and dangerously sharp joke writing.
Additionally, Michael Blaustein has added a third show at The Wilbur on October 9, just after Randy Feltface brings the purple rain on October 8. The beloved puppet and gifted storyteller will also be busting things up down at Foxwoods on October 9, while the living legend Kathleen Madigan heads to Connecticut a few nights later for a set on October 17.
The early fall week nights look to already be popping off in New England, as Josh Thomas throws down at Somerville’s Arts at the Armory on October 10, while Jim Gaffigan makes his return to the city with a show at Wang Theatre on October 23.
But before any of that happens, Bobby Lee — arguably the most famous comedian to have a recorded special or national tour under his belt — is emerging from the shadows for the Finally Tour, his very first headlining tour after more than 30 years in the game, which brings him to Medford’s Chevalier Theatre on May 3.
Tickets for these shows be accessed now via the Regulars pre-sale, before venue pre-sales can be accessed starting on Thursday (March 12) at 10 a.m. ET by using the code VANYA. General on-sale begins on Friday (March 13) at 10 a.m. ET.
