Mic’d Up: Stavros Halkias pops up for a night in The Seaport

Whether Stavros Halkias has a license to operate is beside the point, because he’s bringing the ‘Dreamboat’ to port for a little surprise return regardless, just to help liven up that dead period in the middle of our work week.

With a quick-but-thick double dose of his critically-acclaimed comedy on Thursday (March 12) at Laugh Boston, Halkias makes his way back to the city after selling out a smattering of shows at The Wilbur in December. While it’s commonplace for comedians to run their hour in as many spaces as they can before recording a new special, as he’s planning to do in his hometown of Baltimore in April as part of his ongoing Dreamboat tour, Halkias has reached a status in the comedy game where every chance to see him, in any sized venue, is a truly special event.

He has expertly-crafted new jokes, riveting new tales of debauchery and self-deprecation, and if he’s using these shows in The Seaport to further spruce up any of the material he brought to us in December, the intimate crowds are in for some of the best comedy they’ll see all year at the hands of the Greek god of dick jokes, who continues to use his powers for good (and gross), as he further cements his place as truly one of the best all-around voices in comedy today.

Although it may come as no surprise at this point, it’s Stavvy’s world — and we’re just gleefully living all up in it. Opa!
