Gollylagging ride away from bad memories on new single ‘Bronco’

First came a “frog” — then came a “Bronco.” It’s getting pretty crowded in Gollylagging’s catalog-slash-menagerie, thanks to the addition of the Boston band’s latest single. “Bronco,” their first release since 2024’s “Dry Rot,” arrived in late last month (January 30) ahead of their set at the Brighton-based Something in the Way Fest. The tune’s emotional weight seems to stretch its runtime far beyond two and a half minutes, as repeated laments of “don’t remind me” simmer underneath a bedrock of post-hardcore. The lyrics are simple and sparse, but unyielding in their urge part with unsavory memories, and perhaps, in the process — to quote a very different song — ride ’til you can’t no more. Tune in below.
