Over the years, we’ve certainly heard some big words from Gary Gulman. As it turns out, though, he has even bigger words to teach us, and it just so happens that he’s bringing them to the biggest show he’s ever performed on home turf.
As announced earlier this week, the all-star comedian and, arguably, Peabody’s favorite son will be making his way back to Boston to set up for one night at Shubert Theatre with his latest critically-acclaimed show, Grandiloquent, on October 25. Gulman’s upcoming soirée will be the largest show he’s put on in his hometown, further expanding a parade of full-circle moments in the city where he started doing stand-up more than 30 years ago. The Boston edition of the new show comes after a successful off-broadway run in New York, as well as a successful multi-leg tour in support of his literary debut, Misfit: Growing Up Awkward in the ‘80s.
On November 6, longtime comedian, radio personality, and accomplished author Adam Carolla makes a rare trip to trip on November 6 to bring his wildly unprepared and off-the-cuff brand of comedy to The Wilbur.
Over in Somerville, both Tom Shillue and Wally Baram (September 25) are headed on their own voyages to different venues in town, as Shillue — the frequent Fox News personality — heads to The Arts at The Armory on September 6, while the accomplished and multi-talented Baram brings her unique cultural perspective to the stage at Crystal Ballroom on September 25.
Tickets for these shows can be accessed via the Regulars pre-sale starting today (June 18), before venue pre-sales can be accessed by using the code VANYA starting Thursday (June 19) at 10 a.m. ET. Public on-sale begins Friday (June 20) at 10 a.m. ET.
