Over the weekend, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame unveiled its list of nominations for possible induction into the Rock Hall’s Class of 2024, and included in the list of bands and artists is Oasis. The Britpop icons help round out a hearty ballot that features A Tribe Called Quest, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Sinéad O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, and Sade.

Once the list went live, many wondered if the news was going to be enough to inspire Liam and Noel Gallagher to put aside their long-standing differences and reform Oasis, who split in 2009. But Liam took to X this morning (February 12) and offered something a little bit short of a definitely maybe.

We had to go look up what “bumbaclarts” means, and according to Urban Dictionary, it’s a Jamaican slang term for toilet paper. The site also notes that it’s a favorite insult of the singer, and he uses it often.

In the replies to the tweet — or post, whatever the fuck we’re calling those now — Gallagher also tells fans to not bother voting in the fan poll, writing “Don’t waste your time Rkid as much as it’s appreciated it’s all a load of bollox” and declaring the Rock Hall as “not even Rock n Roll.”

As of press time, Oasis were 9th in the fan poll, landing 22,213 votes out of more than 363,000 total. Currently, Ozzy leads the voting with 37,724 votes cast, with Peter Frampton and Foreigner rounding out the top three.

Billboard reports that this year’s nominees will be selected “by a voting body of 1,000+ ‘artists, historians and members of the music industry.'” And the fan vote, for those wondering, will help comprise of one ballot joining the others that are submitted.

The Rock Hall’s Class of 2024 will be announced in April.
