Band in the USA: Maisie Peters brings ‘The Good Witch’ to North America

Artwork

Our betting days are long gone, but it’s as good a prediction as any that Maisie Peters could be a household name in pop music by the time she plays Roadrunner later this year. The rising British alt-pop singer is making quite a stateside name for herself lately — unveiling a Tokyo-filmed and Mia Barnes-directed video for breakout hit “Lost The Breakup,” playing the exuberant bop on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and detailing her Good Witch Comes to North America Tour, which adds headline dates around festival appearances and highly-visible support for Ed Sheeran.

Peters’ 27 headline dates kicks off August 7 in Minneapolis and wraps October 11 here in Boston at Roadrunner. Along the way, she holds court at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall and the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. So perhaps that household name thing may arrive sooner; after all, her sophomore album The Good Witch lands June 16 via Gingerbread Man Records/Elektra. Pre-save it and join the cult.
