The Knocks get the ‘Slow Song’ remix treatment from St. Lucia

The Knocks are set to tour North America this fall with fellow Vanyaland faves Cannons, a 23-date run that kicks off in late September and hits Boston’s Big Night Live on October 15. To hold us over while we wait impatiently, the New York electronic duo have assembled some friends and enlisted St. Lucia to provide the remix treatment to “Slow Song,” a collaboration with Dragonette that dropped earlier this year.

Anytime we get The Knocks, Dragonette, and St. Lucia in the mix, well, that’s a track destined for some summer playlist action. St. Lucia’s “Slow Song” effort is absolute euphoria, a cool splash and bounce that propels it across six minutes. Not that we expected anything less.

“To cut a long story short, we wouldn’t be here without B Roc discovering us,” says St. Lucia, “and Heavy Roc Music [The Knocks label] putting out our first single ‘All Eyes On You’. Our first-ever tour was with them; we’ve written and released many songs with them, including ‘Modern Hearts’ and ‘Limo.’ So, to say our bond is thicker than blood would be a gross understatement: We’re basically family.”

Cling to summer as we creep into August, and keep the “Slow Song” beat rolling below — both the St. Lucia remix on Spotify and the OG version via YouTube.
