Yeah, sure, there’s a goddamn Beatle playing down Commonwealth Avenue at Fenway tonight (June 7), but maybe the real party goes down in Allston as Le Femme bring a global beat to Brighton Music Hall, with an opening set from the immaculately named cumgirl8. Last we caught up with the eclectic French pop group, we were taken on a psychedelic trip through ‘Cool Colorado’. Since then, La Femme dropped 2021 album Paradigmes, and just last week served up “Sacate La”, a lively psych-pop tune inspired by trips to South America and the south of Spain, with lyrics sung in Spanish. Fire up the track below to see just what kind of vibe goes down tonight on Brighton Avenue, and fill the day waiting with La Femme’s visually-striking full-length feature, Paradigmes: Le Film, directed by band leaders Sacha Got and Marlon Magnée with Aymeric Bergada du Cadet.
