Via Netflix Media Center

Editor’s Note: As the temps begin to rise and the flowers begin to blossom, the top-tier selection of comedy shows to check out around Boston are also in full bloom as homegrown talent, national headliners, and open mics galore highlight the calendar. Live entertainment continues to make its way back into our social lives — mask up! stay safe! — and so we always want to make sure you know about cool stuff going on in the world of comedy. Enter Mic’d Up, our ongoing weekly series that details the best live comedy shows to consider as you head out and about. Below find our rundown for this week, through Sunday (April 17).

Joe List at Laugh Boston

Let’s be honest: A weekend with Joe List on stage is top-tier, no matter what. But to have him back home to deliver four shows worth of some of the best stand-up in the game today is a treat and a half that should not be taken for granted.

Thursday, April 14 to Saturday, April 16 at Laugh Boston, 425 Summer St. in Boston :: Thursday at 8 p.m.; Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. :: Tickets are $25 to $29

Kevin Nealon at City Winery

There’s something special about welcoming SNL royalty to the city, and to have Kevin Nealon making his way to Boston for a night of comedy is no exception. His dry and sarcastic craftwork is one of a kind, and getting it delivered to your face firsthand is surely an experience like no other.

Friday, April 15 at City Winery, 80 Beverly St. in Boston, MA :: 8 p.m. :: Tickets are $48 to $55

Hannah Gadsby at Emerson Colonial Theatre

Not only is the Australian comedy superstar bringing her brand new show to Boston, but it’s also the very first taste of it in the States, as Gadsby uses Boston as the springboard for U.S. jaunt. Following the awe-inspiring insight and devilishly sharp humor presented in her smash-hit Netflix specials Nanette and Douglas, we can only imagine what’s in store with this new show.

Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 at Emerson Colonial Theatre, 106 Boylston St. in Boston :: 7 p.m. :: Tickets are $39.75 to $144.75

Marc Maron at The Wilbur

It’s never a dull moment when Marc Maron comes to town, and with all that has gone on since his oddly prophetic Netflix special End Times Fun, we’re sure the hilariously insightful frustration, curiosity and the overall “f—k this” mentality that Maron has cultivated over the years will be in large supply for each and every What-The-Fuccaneer in attendance.

Saturday, April 16 at The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St. in Boston :: 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. :: Tickets are $47 to $61.50
