Editor’s Note: Even in the dead of winter, there is never a shortage of comedy shows to check out around Boston, as homegrown talent, national headliners, and open mics galore highlight the calendar. As live entertainment slowly makes its way back into our social lives — mask up! stay safe! — we always want to make sure you know about cool stuff going on in the world of comedy. Enter Mic’d Up, our ongoing weekly series that details the best live comedy shows to consider as you head out and about. Below find our rundown for this week, through Sunday (March 27).

Tone Bell at Laugh Boston

If you’ve heard his latest stand-up album, you know what Tone Bell is capable of with one night in Austin. Now imagine three nights in Boston. No topic is off-limits for the American Soul actor, as he delves into politics, social justice, and of course, a bit lighter topics that can be found embedded in his own life. There are stories and jokes, but then there are stories and jokes as told by Tone Bell, and that’s a joy in and of itself.

Bert Kreischer at Hanover Theatre

There ain’t no party like a Berty Boy party, because a Berty Boy party don’t stop. Bringing his largely sold-out world tour to Wormtown, “The Machine” continues to pump out one hell of a time for both he and his fans with a passion for comedy that we can top our hats, and lose our shirts to.

Trevor Wallace at The Wilbur

From frat bro to Bang Energy rep, the character work of Trevor Wallace is quickly becoming unmatched in the digital content space, but his live delivery shouldn’t be discounted. With millennial sensibility and relatability, as well as the undoubtably stage presence of a seasoned veteran, Wallace’s return to Boston is sure to be a rager.

Friday, March 25 at The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St. in Boston :: 7 p.m., Tickets are $27 to $77

Randy Feltface at Roar! Comedy Club

Philosophy, biography, current events, poetry and so much more. These are the ingredients that make a Randy Feltface show such a spectacle, and following the titanic effort put forth in his latest special, The Book of Randicus, lord only knows what our purple pal has in store for us this time around.

Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26 at Roar! Comedy Club, 1 MGM Way in Springfield, MA :: 8 p.m. on Friday; 7:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. on Saturday :: Tickets are $28
