After many a late night basement show in Allston, Vundabar have made it to Late Night with Seth Meyers. The Boston band broadcasted a live rendition of their “Alien Blues” as the program’s musical guest on Wednesday (March 16), extending the tune’s recent viral explosion.

The popularity of “Alien Blues” — which appeared on Vundabar’s 2015 album Gawk — seems to be paving the way for the band’s next era. As the seven-year-old track keeps gaining streams and attention on TikTok, the momentum pushes Vundabar closer to their next full-length release. Devil For The Fire, the followup to the group’s 2020 LP Either Light, drops April 15.

Check out Vundabar’s Late Night appearance below, and then compare it with the official “Alien Blues” music video, which also dropped last week.
