It’s been a while since we’re heard a tune that sounds like a roaring motorcycle ride right through the gates of hell — probably because life above the underworld has been tortuous enough these past few years. But DYLYN’s revving her engine with impatience, ready to descend into the flames with her new single “Hellbound,” a whisky-soaked stampede towards Old Scratch himself.
The song dropped last week (January 7) on the heels of DYLYN’s fall 2021 surrender “Let You,” although it’s clear she’s quickly abandoned that vulnerable mentality. “Hellbound” flaunts a white-knuckled grip on the reins and a total lack of reservation: “I signed my name in the devil’s blood / And I’ve killed everything that I ever loved,” DYLYN wails on the pre-chorus.
“‘Hellbound’ is a sort of conjuring of the night,” the Vancouver singer explains. “Leaning into elements of the earth and universe that express the dance with music and the muse.”
Join DYLYN on her saunter through the circles of hell below, and catch her January 30 at the Paradise Rock Club with Mother Mother.
