The robots are coming for us in 2022. But don’t worry, these don’t want to kill us; they just want to make us dance. Whew!
Kraftwerk today announced a 2022 North American 3-D concert tour that follows the iconic and pioneering German electronic music group’s induction over the weekend into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which will be broadcast on HBO on November 20.
The 24-date tour kicks off May 27 in St. Louis and wraps July 10 in Vancouver, and along the way are several notable shows: A pair of Massachusetts appearances (June 10 at MASS MoCA in North Adams and June 11 at Boston’s Boch Center Wang Theatre); a June 17 performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York City; and June 24 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
Many of the shows — which promise to bring together music, 3-D visuals, and performance art — are rescheduled dates from a planned 2020 tour that was postponed due to the global pandemic. Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday (November 5); get all the dates below, and further information here.
