Sea Girls become unhinged on their furiously beautiful new single ‘Violet’

The best thing about great bands is that you know they’re great as soon as you first hear them. That’s the thought swirling around our domes on this Monday morning as we fire up Sea Girls’ furiously beautiful new alt-rock single “Violet.” The video for the track crashes our shores today (September 30) with word of a short five-date Sea Girls tour of North America, and the London band play Boston’s Great Scott on December 6.

“We may have songs with darkness, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look to the light,” the band say of their new single and Michael Holyk-directed video. “‘Violet’ is wildly optimistic and for the video we find ourselves in an abandoned building and this time we aren’t feeling sorry for ourselves. The song is a little unhinged and so is the video.”

Tickets to that Great Scott show are on sale now. We suggest you snag one early.
