Miss June welcome all your wonderful flaws on ‘Anomaly’

By now we’ve banged the drum fairly loudly for Miss June, the New Zealand firecracker of a rock band that awestruck us in the spring with their SOTY ripper “Best Girl”. We hyped another track of theirs, “Enemies”, not too long ago, as well, and with their debut album arriving next month (Bad Luck Party hits September 6 via Frenchkiss Records) and the band themselves arriving in Boston in October (playing Somerville’s ONCE Ballroom October 15), we’re using the new Miss June song to give another signal boost.

This track’s called “Anomaly,” it’s a bit more paced than what w’ve previously heard, and it welcomes all your beautiful flaws.

“I have an incredible ability to attract individuals that are as flawed as I am,” says Miss June singer Annabel Liddell. “It’s made my life chaotic and beautiful. This song is about a girl. A girl I will never understand. A girl that’s a gun, a burning sun and an anomaly to me.”

One of our own.
