After previewing OG Swaggerdick’s new tape last month, the Newbury Street locale of Newbury Comics has more exclusives up its sleeve for August. The Back Bay store will host two additional (and free) advance listening parties this week: A Tuesday event for Boston rapper Oompas new record Cleo (out August 10), and another on Wednesday for Bon Iver’s new album i,i (out August 30).

The Cleo listening party starts at 7 p.m. on Tuesday (August 6), and Oompa will be on-site at the event to sign autographs. Attendance is free, but guests must grab a wristband from the Newbury Street store tomorrow to enter. Capacity is limited, so wristbands will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Oompa also performs at the Sinclair on Saturday (August 10) for her official album release party.

On Wednesday (August 7), Bon Iver fans can line up for entry at Newbury Comics starting at 6 p.m., although doors don’t open until 7 p.m. and the album playing itself begins at 7:30 p.m. Guests will be able to pre-order i,i at the party, and the first 75 people at the store to place a pre-order will receive a limited-edition Bon Iver flexi-disc. Newbury Comics will also host a raffle that evening for a test pressing of i,i; listeners can nab one ticket for every copy of i,i they pre-order.
