A few weeks ago deep within the lost month of March we were all taken back to the indie disco thanks to the sheer gravitational pull of Two Door Cinema Club and their comeback single “Talk.” This fall, Alex Trimble and the boys will resurrect that dance party IRL, as Two Door Cinema Club will tour North America complete with a September 16 romp at Boston’s House of Blues.
By then, we’ll all be super familiar with Two Door Cinema’s forthcoming album, False Alarm, which hits June 14 via Glassnote.
Back when “Talk” crashed our hearts, minds, and playlists, Trimble had this to say about it: “I love the pop thing. I love experimenting and going to different places, I love doing things that are a little bit wonky and I love the idea of doing something we haven’t done before, why can’t we do all of those things at once? That’s what it was, doing whatever felt right… It sounds like Two Door Cinema Club — not a Two Door Cinema Club there’d ever been before but that’s what I love. We can always do something new but it always feels like something we’ve done.”
