| The great Courtney Barnett knows very well that “Everybody Here Hates You,” and now she’s got a new single and video to hammer that point home. The Australian guitarist and songwriting wiz, who had us wrapped around her fingers when she played Boston back in October, dropped a video for her latest single today (April 15), and the clip finds Barnett reunited with her long-time collaborator, director Danny Cohen, as we all take a trip deep inside the musician’s head space. The bluesy, riff-tastic track is a nice teaser to get us properly amped for Barnett’s summer slate of live shows, which finds her playing festivals like Bonnaroo, Firefly, and Woodstock 50, and also on tour opening for The National. She does just that June 14 at Thompson’s Point in Portland, Maine. Everyone is invited, except for you, because “Everyone Here Hates You,” obviously. |
