Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

Jazzmyn RED, bestower of positive vibes, has returned in 2018 wielding a sharper message than usual: “If people wanted me to speak nicely of them then they should’ve behaved better.” Following the 2017 burst of sunshine that was her record Writing HERstory, the Boston rapper and R&B singer’s new track “You Said” spits facts about an ex-lover who got caught spewing lies. “It’s a relationship song, which was the one subject matter I didn’t write about on the Writing HERstory album,” she tells Vanyaland. “It is most important to me because love is tough! Relationships can hurt and I wanted to give people a song they could really just sing their heart out to. Sing that pain away, tell them what they did.” Having your own back and knowing you’re worth more than what a lyin’ and cheatin’ SOB can give you: It’s called self care.
