Back in March 2016 we sent Ben Stas to photograph and review Ty Segall’s show at Royale, and we still haven’t gotten over it. That damn baby mask keeps showing up in our dreams.
We reference this today because the California guitar-rock dude has announced an acoustic solo tour for the fall, and we’re betting it’s no less weird. There’s no Boston date, as of yet, but there’s a lot of New England love, as Segall hits Higher Ground in Burlington, Vermont, on November 6; Port City Music Hall in Portland, Maine on November 7; and Hamden’s Space Ballroom in Connecticut on November 8.
Segall and his Freedom Band will be plugged in all summer as they tour Europe, so this will be a nice change of pace. Segall released his latest album, Freedom’s Goblin, back in January.
