Thank You 4 Your Service: A Tribe Called Quest just played their ‘last show …ever’

A few months ago, A Tribe Called Quest announced that they would be performing their last shows soon, leading fans to believe that their set at Bestival in September would be their last live appearance ever as a group.

Last night (September 9) at the English music fest, that very premonition has appeared to come true.

“A Tribe Called Quest, we suffered a blow,” rapper Q-Tip told the Bestival crowd, according to the NME, “We lost our boy Phife Dawg. This is gonna be our last show as A Tribe Called Quest, ever.”

ATCQ co-founder Phife Dawg died last year age the age of 45, a few months before the group released their final album We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service.

The group’s set at Bestival caps off ATCQ’s 27-year-career. Watch video from the performance below.
