Lords of Acid announce North American tour with Combichrist, Christian Death, En Esch

It’s been a pretty wild year for industrial music and other types of darker beats. The Cold Waves festival in Chicago has spurred separate companion tours from veteran luminaries like Front 242 and KMFDM (both of which hit Boston in October) and the Wax Trax documentary has rekindled interest in the crop of bands that changed your listening habits back in high school.

And now Lords of Acid are back in the shake to shake things up all over again.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign that saw them raise $90,000 for new album Pretty In Kink, the Belgian dance-industrial survivalists have announced their first north American tour in six yeas, and are bringing along Combichrist, what’s left of Christian Death, former KMFDM stalwart En Esch, Night Club and Wiccid.

Lords of Acid will be playing 1994 album Voodoo-U in its entirety, which will be worth the price of admission once they bust out “Marijuana In Your Brain”.

“2017 has been an exciting year for Lords of Acid,” says co-founder and ringleader Praga Khan in a statement. “I think we have an amazing tour planned. It will be a great experience for our fans to see Voodoo-U performed in it’s entirety along with our other classic hits. We’re very happy to bring such a talented group of bands new and old out with us.”

The tour kicks off September 26 in Kansas and wraps November 4 in New Mexico. There is no Boston date (just shows in NYC, Philly, and Toronto around us here in New England), but those looking to road trip should note that tickets go on sale Friday (June 2) for all dates.
