Postpone That We’re Dead: L7 scrap upcoming U.S. an Australian tours

Reunited rock band L7 have scrapped a handful of upcoming tour dates — including a Texas run that would have started next week at SXSW in Austin. The band announced the postponement, which also affects their May tour of Australia, this afternoon, citing “a family health emergency of a private, non-trivial nature”.

And they stress it’s just a postponement, not an outright cancellation.

They write:

“L7 regret to announce that due to a family health emergency of a private, non-trivial nature, we will have to postpone our upcoming U.S. and Australian tour dates. Although some of the shows were just very recently announced, LIFE HAPPENS and when it does you have to step up and take care of business for the ones you love.

Speaking of some other ones we love (YOU) … this is just a postponement. We plan to see you in 2016, just a few more months down the line. In the meantime, stayed tuned here. We will continue to post fun stuff and read your beautiful and sometimes hilarious comments. Thanks for your understanding! With much love and appreciation, L Fuckin’ 7”

These appear to be the affected dates. Let’s hope for some New England love later in the year…
