Andie Belle, Silverteeth and Warbler Roost at The New Room, 60 Spring St. in Newport

What’s a better way for a performance space to open up than on New Year’s Eve? David Passafiume and his Newport based booking and promotions company Tweed Leisure will be putting on the first show at The New Room, a brand new venue that’ll also be putting on yoga classes, art showcases and rehearsals along with live music. Singer-songwriter Andie Belle, indie rockers Silverteeth and shanty folk duo Warbler Roost will be performing. The show is BYOB and pot luck so bring whatever booze and food you want. It’ll also end before midnight so it won’t interrupt your plans for ringing in 2016.

Doors at 8 p.m., this is an all ages event, and there is no cover (but donations are encouraged).
