Ocean Mic New Year’s Eve Bash-O-Rama at Jimmy’s Saloon, 37 Memorial Boulevard in Newport
Happening every Thursday at Jimmy’s Saloon in Newport, Ocean Mic is an open forum for The City By The Sea’s musical and comedic talents. It has gained quite a following and has become an incubator for Newport’s unique creative community. Due to New Year’s Eve falling on a Thursday there will be a special edition of Ocean Mic taking place. The night will be featuring rustic blues artist Skip Leon, instrumental progressive rock weirdo IONEYE, comedian Darik Santos and a bunch of others. Anyone is welcome to perform so bring a guitar or come up with some jokes and head down to Jimmy’s to show your stuff.
Doors at 7 p.m., this is a 21-plus event, and the cover is a $5 suggested donation.
