With the rise in technology over the past decade, it’s easy to drop a new mix. So Boston’s DJ Knife decided to up the game, combining his latest and fifth Strange Brew mix with something appropriate to the name: his own batch of home-brewed beer.
Leading up to the promo of yesterday’s release — with the party going down Thursday at Good Life — Knife delivered some goods around town, and left one at the doorstep of Vanya HQ. By the time we got back to our joint, the package was stolen, either from some thirsty buck feeling that spring swagger or some other tenant with no respect for people’s shit. Either way, someone had some extra sauce this week.
Meanwhile, the mix is just as intoxicating: 39 tracks mixed by Knife using turntables and a mixer, all presented both digitally and via combination bottle-opener USB stick.
