Rebel Art: Watch Madonna and Terrence Howard star in the post-apocalyptic ‘Ghosttown’

Long time fans of Madonna have maintained that “Ghosttown” is the best track off the pop veteran’s new record Rebel Heart. And today, we have an apocalyptic video proof to determine if that’s the case.

Vibing off different, more subdued look than previous Top 40 banger “Living For Love,” the ballad-like “Ghosttown” has a bit more classic feel from the ageless 56-year-old singer. The video stars Empire’s Terrence Howard, and the gothic clip was directed by longtime Madonna collaborator Jonas Åkerlund, who previously worked with her on videos like “Ray of Light,” “Music,” and “American Life.”

Per press notes, “Ghosttown” was “choreographed by Megan Lawson, styled by B. Åkerlund and features hair styled by Andy Lecompte and makeup by Aaron Henrikson.” They all deserve shout outs for a video like this.

Meanwhile, Madonna’s massive Rebel Heart tour hits Boston’s TD Garden on September 26.
