Turning the Page: Diplo reveals upcoming collaboration with Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant

Electronic music producer Diplo had quite a weekend. Yesterday, he and Jack U collaborator Skrillex headlined Ultra Music Festival in Miami with some help from P. Diddy and Justin Bieber, and on Saturday he teased out a potential new project with none other than former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant.

“Collab coming soon” is how Diplo captioned his Instagram post. Little is known just what this project is all about, and it could be anything from a Diplo track, a Plant tune, or even something under the Major Lazer moniker.

As Consequence of Sound notes, the two are no strangers to collaboration: Diplo has worked with Madonna, Ariana Grande, MØ, and Ezra Koenig in recent months, while Plant has had success pairing with Jack White, Allison Krauss, and T-Bone Burnett.

Meanwhile, Plant just announced a North American tour with the Pixies (there’s no Boston date), and recently joined White on stage for a rendition of Zeppelin’s “The Lemon Song” at Lollapalooza Argentina.
