True story: A few years ago at the Boston Phoenix, a few of the staff were huddled around the assist music editor’s desk, watching some new Mac DeMarco video for the first time, when suddenly, a guy spread his ass checks for the camera and took a giant shit right before our very eyes. The assistant music editor was pretty horrified.
It’s a shame the Phoenix isn’t still around — for many reasons — because I could see us all again huddled around out-dated computer screens watching this new video from Montreal’s TOPS, and gasping in horror as DeMarco pulls a monkey heart and flashes his ball sack, without warning, around the 1:47 mark.
It’s a quick hit, so don’t blink; you might miss it.
