Jamaican Me Crazy: Listen to the 18-song JP Music Festival mixtape

It’s not even August yet, but it feels like summer is pretty much over. And that’s kinda alright with us, as autumn in New England brings out the best, from King Richard’s Faire to Halloween season to Tom Brady’s own New England Patriots. September also brings a host of free outdoor neighborhood music festivals, and Jamaica Plain is setting the tone with its own gathering of the bands September 6 at Pinebank Field.

The lineup for this year’s JP Music Festival is pretty decent, featuring bands like Tallahassee, Cask Mouse, Hope & the Husbands, Oldjack, the Old Edison, and others, but like any all-day event out there in the city wilderness, there’s bound to be bands that are unfamiliar to most.

So JP Music Fest has crafted this 18-band Soundcloud mixtape, which should give you an idea of which bands to check out come September.
