Watch the Pixies tear through the classics last night @ the Orpheum; peep the 31-song setlist

There were two groups of people in Boston last night: the 2,500 or so experiencing the Pixies live at the Orpheum Theatre — and everyone else. With Paz Lenchatin (A Perfect Circle, the Entrance Band, Billy Corgan’s Zwan) the latest fill-in on bass for the departed Kim Deal, Black Francis and crew tore through more than 30 songs over the course of two-plus hours, including a rendition of the Jesus & Mary Chain’s “Head On.”

The Pixies performed in front of a giant wall of TV screens, which most times looked like someone was photocopying their butt on the company Xerox. In case you weren’t there, YouTube clips are plentiful this morning.
