Listen to Soft Pyramids’ slinky new 7-inch, ‘Tweakin’ On The Weekend’ / release show Saturday @ Radio

Slow your roll, babygirl, it ain’t the weekend just yet. But before that 5pm bell rings, make sure you get your proper tweak in order. Boston guitar-rock quartet Soft Pyramids have a sneaky good new 7-inch ready for mass physical consumption tomorrow night at Radio in Somerville, and we’d like you to fill the vanilla air of your work cubicle with a quick listen before you ghost the joint.

Tweakin’ For The Weekend is another slinky turn from the Pyramids, who have been serving up detached-attitude rock and roll since 2011 debut Electric Scenes. The spacious pop of the title-track is aided by yearning b-side “Don’t You Tell Me” on the vinyl, but the entire package also comes armed with two digital bonus tracks (via download card), and the warm, street-smart “Bellwether Lullaby” might be the young band’s finest hour. Even second digital track “White Deadnettle” has a really nice spiky softness to it. Shit, we might like the digital tracks way more than the vinyl cuts. Don’t tell your Technic. You be the judge.

Preview all four songs below, then get into the pit tomorrow night at Radio. Soft Pyramids are joined on the Saturday night bill by Thunderbloods, These Wild Plains, and Sleep Leans.
