It’s been a good week for twins: first, two newborn boys were recently named Ghostface and Raekwon… the Pelly twins still exist (we’re sure they did something of note)… and now a pair of 18-year-old sisters named the Bloom Twins have crawled up into our earholes without any intention of leaving.
Anna and Sonia Kuprienko released their latest single, “Blue” and it’s a haunting pop number that suggests we haven’t heard the last of this teenage dream creeping out of the London shadows.
The video only serves to enhance the experience. What we’re told:
“‘Blue’ continues the Bloom Twins quest with their dreamy soundscapes and dash of darkness, alluring the viewer as the video challenges the spectator by providing just enough controversy to generate curiosity and excitement, complete with a power to subvert, to imagine and to deceive,” reads the presser.
“The storyline is based on a bittersweet memory of a dysfunctional relationship, the female protagonist (played by both Anna and Sonia Kuprienko) is remembering moments with a two-faced lover: On the one hand she recalls him as the mature, masculine, elegant, caring yet mysterious character (Aiden Shaw), on the other hand yearns for his wild, reckless, exciting and charming side (Billy Huxley).”
We’re hooked.
