Evolfo Doofeht, 4:30 p.m. set time

Evolfo Doofeht is an eight-person wrecking ball (no, not the Miley kind). Coined “gypsy-funk” because there’s no easy way to describe their mind-melt blend of American funk, eastern European gypsy jazz, and garage soul, the band took home International Artist of the Year in the 2012 Boston Music Awards (holy shit someone beat Debo Band!). But they could have easily taken the Live Act category as well, because this tireless troupe has been known to conquer every stage they step foot — and then raise foot — on.

2012’s The Food Of Love — psst, spell it backwards! — put the five-year-old band on the map, but October’s music video for “Wild Man” finds Matt Gibbs and Company as animated as ever.

Check out the record as well as that video clip and more, and prepare for the full-frontal awesome that is the Evolfo Doofeht live performance. Their set at the Berklee + Vanyaland party arrives at 4:30 p.m. local time — just when you need a turbo shot of groove to get you through the rest of the day. Perfect timing, gypsy kids.
