After the sudden death of Prince last April, one of the better tributes to the legendary musician came from online radio network SiriusXM, which dedicated an entire channel to his career-spanning hits, b-sides, and live performances.
Now, SiriusXM is starting the New Year by raising a glass to pop icon George Michael, who passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 53.
“Faith,” which launches this Wednesday, January 4 at noon eastern time on channel 13, will feature Michael’s early work with ’80s pop sensation Wham!, his illustrious solo career, and various collaborations, including recordings and live appearances with Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Queen, and others. There’s a lot of ground to cover for a man who won a pair of Grammys and went on to sell more than 100 million albums in his remarkable 35-year career.
As a result, “Faith” will broadcast uninterrupted until January 10. Get more info via SiriusXM’s blog post.
