Allston Christmas means different things to different people. For most, it’s a magical day in September where free shit is available all across the neighborhood’s many sidewalks and homefronts. For others, it’s an outdoor music party. But for 17 homegrown bands and artists, it’s the platform to come together for a compilation geared towards raising money for the Greater Boston Food Bank.
Following last year’s inaugural comp, A Very Allston Christmas Vol. 2 is out today, and the charitable collection features holiday covers from the likes of Soft Fangs, Lilith, Natalie Copeland, Kitner, and others. Disposable America’s Dustin Watson even closes things out with a reading of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
Check out the full comp below, with rat-alicious artwork by Save Ends’ Christine Atturio, and throw some coin at a good cause for those in need.
