The Outlaw Roadshow is going global.
After a successful run of events in New York City and Austin, the collaborative project from Ryan Spaulding of Ryan’s Smashing Life and Counting Crows’ Adam Duritz are bringing their party to Israel’s Tune-In Tel Aviv Music Festival in November — but not before another mega-event in New York later this month in conjunction with CMJ.
The Outlaw Roadshow’s free CMJ party goes down over three nights, October 15 to 17, at Bowery Electric. It’ll showcase 36 bands and artists in total, including Boston’s These Wild Plains, OldJack, Zip-Tie Handcuffs, Nate Leavitt, The Rationales, Golden Bloom, Aloud, and others. The full lineup, as well as ability to RSVP and get to know each artist, will be available through the Outlaw Roadshow app, available for IOS/Apple and Android.
“We’re excited to share the artists as they are announced via the website and social media and — at the same time — for users of this exciting new App. It’s a way for us to be with our music friends and it reflects the connection many of us have experienced on an ongoing basis for this project,” says Spaulding in a press release. “New York and now Tel Aviv will be our third and fourth adventures this year. All the acts we have featured in previous shows in Nashville and in Austin will all be there as well in the new App. We like to think of everyone involved as being a part of the family, and it’s a clan that continues to grow larger every day”
After CMJ, the Outlaw Roadshow takes on the Tune-In Tel Aviv Music Festival for a November 11 showcase at Azur, featuring Dani Dorchin, Sawyer, Sun Tailor, Maya Johanna, Lola Marsh, Lost Highways, and more. Spaulding will also speak at the Tune-In Tel Aviv International Music Conference about the Roadshow “and his work as a radio host, a former TV producer and music blogger.”
Says Jeremy Hulsh, founder/executive producer of Oleh! Records RA — Israel’s Music Export Office & Tune In Tel Aviv: “We are thrilled to be partnering up with Ryan Spaulding and Adam Duritz to co-present the first ever totally international version of The Outlaw Roadshow… Tune in Tel Aviv is the perfect platform to showcase high end emerging artists, our goals are totally inline with the ethos of supporting independent musicians which Ryan & Adam have been doing for the past many years.”
More to come…
