Editor’s Note: After a rather laid back Friday night, things picked up considerably Saturday afternoon and evening on a lovely fall day at Boston Calling. Hometown pride Grey Season opened the day with a modified cover of the Clash’s “London Calling,” and CHVRCHES and alt-J gave captivating performances that established the two bands as next-generation headliners.
