Just after 9 p.m. local time on May 24, it will be Pixies o’clock around Boston.
That’s when the iconic Massachusetts rock band will headline the Sunday slate of May’s Boston Calling Music Festival. The bi-annual City Hall Plaza weekend event released the set times for its 23-performer lineup this morning, and there’s a nice flow: Beck hits the stage Friday night at 9:15 p.m.; My Morning Jacket wrap up the Saturday slate at 9:20 p.m.; and the Pixies will fill us with hometown pride Sunday night at 9:20 p.m.
Boston Calling kicks off Friday, May 22, at 6:30 p.m. with Sharon Van Etten, while Krill (Saturday, May 23 at 12:55 p.m.) and the Ballroom Thieves (Sunday, May 24 at 1 p.m.) open the weekend tilts.
Tove Lo performs at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. In case you were wondering (like we were).
