Dropkick Murphys announce 2024 St. Patrick’s Day shows

As department stores begin to remind you that we’re 69 days away from Christmas, Dropkick Murphys are here to inform you that it’s a mere 152 days until St. Patrick’s Day.

The Boston group today (October 17) announced the dates and locations of their annual multi-show rally surrounding the Irish holiday, which will span Thursday, March 14 to Sunday, March 17 in 2024. The run is entirely based in the Fenway area, starting at the House of Blues on March 14, and moving across Lansdowne Street to MGM Music Hall for performances on March 15, 16, and 17. Pennywise will provide direct support for all shows, and additional opening acts will be announced in the coming months.

The “Claddagh Fund Mini-Concert” will also return in 2024 to support the band’s own charitable foundation, which provides money for the “most underfunded non-profit organizations that support the vulnerable populations in our communities.” The matinee takes place at MGM Music Hall on Saturday, March 16 at 2 p.m., a 30-minute precursor to Dropkick Murphys’ “regular” show later that evening.

The news arrives in the midst of the band’s current U.S. tour, which skipped over Boston. In addition to this year’s prior St. Patrick’s Day shows, Dropkick Murphys also performed at Boston Calling this May as a last-minute substitute for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who dropped off the lineup one day before they were scheduled to perform.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (October 20), although fans can access a pre-sale tomorrow (October 18) with a code from the band’s website. View the full flyer below.
