Small Black, Limits of Desire 10th anniversary Tour, Octoer 23

It’s a total head trip to imagine albums from 2013 being both remastered for re-release and taken out on a decade-level anniversary tour, but 2023 is full of realities both harsh and happy. The latter applies to Small Black, the electronic music band from Brooklyn who this year celebrate the 10-year anniversary of sophomore album Limits of Desire. First comes the deluxe vinyl reissue in August via Jagjaguwar, then the tour follows, bringing Josh Kolenik and the boys to Brighton Music Hall in Allston on October 23. Small Black will play the lush, textured album in full alongside other faves, and we’ll all be given a reminder of just how sweet life was back when chillwave ruled our playlists. Tickets go on sale Friday (June 16) at 10 a.m. local time.
