Whether we’re talking Thanksgiving turkey or a band on tour, everyone loves a second leg. And the latter is what the Pixies are serving up this year as the beloved Massachusetts indie rock engineers have unveiled a run of live shows with Franz Ferdinand and Bully.
The tour is further support for last year’s well-received Doggerel album, and after a handful of western dates in May, kicks off June 8 at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston.
The band — Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering, and the wonderful and amazing Paz Lenchantin — is also playing a bunch of festivals this year, including BeachLife in Redondo Beach, California; Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City, Utah; and Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee.
Tickets for the second-leg headlining dates go on sale Friday (February 3) at 10 a.m. local time; hit up pixiesmusic.com for all the necessary information. Plug Doggerel into those dirty nasty earholes of yours and eyeball all the stateside dates below.
