Step aside, Playboi Carti, there’s a new “king vamp” in hip-hop, and this monarch slays with his wordplay. Yesterday (April 6), Donald Grunge dropped the video for “Vamp Night,” one of the lewdest tracks from his new tape Bandido. The lo-fi visual from the Chelsea rapper amplifies his mellow mood as Grunge sinks his teeth into a variety pop culture callbacks, including (but not limited to) Blade, Michael Myers, and yes, even Krabby Patties.
“Vamp Night” cuts out any spooky filler and gets right to a bevy of seductive bars — which fans of Bram Stoker’s sultry novel Dracula can confirm is actually fairly accurate in the world of vampires and other ghoulish vagabonds. Think of it as Grunge’s sexy standing invitation for anyone to levitate across his doorway.
