The calendar says spring started on Sunday. The new Denzel Curry joint says spring starts right now. The Florida rapper dropped “Troubles” on Monday (March 21), and its got enough fresh-air mojo to keep us all outside under open skies until Halloween. “Troubles” features T-Pain, and serves as the third single from Curry’s forthcoming album Melt My Eyez See Your Future, which hits this Friday via Loma Vista Recordings.

“I like traditional hip-hop, I like drum and bass, I like trap, I like poetry,” says Curry, “so a lot of that is going to be interwoven in this album including jazz and a lot of genres that I came up on as a kid and just being in my parents’ house. This album is made up of everything that I couldn’t give you on TA13OO or Imperial because I was going through depression anger issues.”

Take it outside with the “Troubles” music video below, commissioned by Loies Kim, produced by Gabriel Roussil, and directed by Adrian Villagomez. It was written by Curry. Spring forward, and catch Curry this year across stages at Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Governors Ball.
