Editor’s Note: With society’s gradual re-opening and our overall return to normalcy, there has been a deluge of tour announcements. Band in the USA keeps you updated on the shows you need to know about, and just who might be soon coming to town.

After all the bullshit and fuckery we’ve been forced to endure over the past few years, what we can really use is a Travis concert, taking us back a few decades to our carefree days of youth, spent drinking all weekend at The Thirsty Scholar and dropping too much on import CDs at Newbury Comics. It truly was a better time, and now the Scottish indie stalwarts are coming through with all the flowers you can fit on your memory’s hazy window: A limited North American tour that once again brings their third album, 2001’s The Invisible Band, to the stage.

“We are delighted to announce we are bringing The Invisible Band to select cities in the this November 2022,” the band writes on Tuesday (March 1). “Due to our recording schedule this will only be a short tour with more to come in 2023. We can’t wait to be back playing shows in the US! To make the evening even more special we have the wonderful Ben Ottewell of Gomez opening for us.”

There’s no Boston date, but a road trip to New York’s Webster Hall on November 8 feels entirely reasonable. Tickets go on sale this Friday (March 4) at 10 a.m. EST, and there’s VIP packages and other ticket info detailed over at travisonline.com/live/.
